Well done - Excellent Customer Service

In my previous review (for 1.7 - below the *s), I felt that the app was incomplete and the time setting was inaccurate. When I wrote to the company, I received a reply within hours, from one of the co-founders, explaining that the problem was due to the recent release of "Lion" and that a fix was on the way. True to his word, here is the fix (1.8) and the app now meets all my expectations. I can now recommend this app without reservation. Does what it says, and does it well and beautifully. Along with the great customer service, I say buy it.

Im not sure how this app got so many 5 star ratings.

This looks like a nice visual and complete weather app, but it is not complete.

The preference menu item is grayed out, and all preferences are done from the main screen. It automatically starts out with Celsius readings. You have to change that if you want Fahrenheit, but if you have it in your dock, anytime you log out or shut down, the dock will return Celsius readings until you run the app. Also, I could find no way to correct the time. Though my machine is set up correctly (and I double checked my settings), this app shows 4 hours ahead of my time on the East Coast of US no matter what I tried (interestingly, the alarm settings indicate the correct time).

Additional cities can be added easily, and for my area, it seemed to give an accurate temperature and range, along with humidity and winds and conditions. I would suggest you avoid this app until it is completed. It has nice potential, but it is just not finished.
